Royal LePage REALTOR® …breaking records for a good cause!

Thursday, June 18th, 2009

Ok, I’ve never done the Grouse Grind. I didn’t even know about it until fairly recently, when I first heard that Sebastian Albrecht, a Royal Lepage REALTOR® from Vancouver, decided to try to break the record for most climbs in one day. His reason? To raise money for the Royal LePage Shelter Foundation, a charity which protects women and children from domestic abuse.

What is the Grouse Grind? It’s a 2.9 Kilometer hike up Grouse Mountain, with an elevation gain of over 850 metres and a total of 2830 stairs. Sebastian plans to complete the Grind a total of 13 times in one day, beating the previous record (shared by Sebastian and another guy) of 12 times. WOW!!

If Sebastian’s efforts inspire you, click here to donate, and help him reach his goal.

Sebastian will be attempting his record this Monday, June 22nd, 2009…but donations are open until July 31st!!!

GO SEBASTIAN!!

It’s Christmas at Royal LePage!

Thursday, December 11th, 2008

Well, we had our annual Moonlight Madness at the Oliver Place Mall last week, complete with Santa pictures and the colouring contest!  A great evening filled with lots of fun and lots of savings at the local shops in the mall.  Can’t complain when you have hordes of people filing through your office all evening – even if it is only to meet Mr. Claus or watch the prize draws!

We had a fantastic set-up for our Santa this time around, thanks to Caroline and Margie.  The best one yet, I think.

Our fabulous Santa scene, and our fabulous Santa!

Our fabulous Santa scene, and our fabulous Santa!

We had close to 100 kids and adults alike show up to have their pictures snapped with the man in red, which is pretty good for a couple hours work in such a small place.  Pictures are taken in return for non-perishable food donations, which we collect at the office and deliver to the local food bank.

Outside of Santa, all the kids had a great time, and created some fantastic and festive artwork to line our halls.  I love seeing their creative works every year!  Prizes were given to the top three in each age category…check out the talent! (You can click on the pictures to enlarge them!)

From Left to Right, we have 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place for the Under 5 Category

I wish I could draw that well!  There were also some lovely Honorable Mentions, and many, many other wonderful entries but unfortunately, not all can win!

So, that’s our start to the Christmas Season – I love this time of year!!

Happy Holidays, folks!
